Mr. James and Ms. Stella:

These two cuties are the kids of a great friend of mine. Are they adorable? It’s so fun to take pictures of my friends’s kids - thanks Heidi!

Another fun fall family session a couple of weeks ago. So much fun and such beautiful colour. I love it!

I had so much fun with this family! They are so happy to welcome Amanda into the world and it just shines out of them. Sara spent most of the session finding, picking, discussing, hiding, passing and otherwise occupying herself with berries. The kid likes berries! Amanda spent it checking me out and looking cute. Thanks to Vicki and Jon for having me along to take pictures of their family!

Here are some pictures of an adorable little boy and his parents:

The day we had originally scheduled turned out to be not-so-good, as Kenny was feeling under the weather. We decided to give it another go the following weekend and luckily the weather and Kenny’s health co-operated. We had such a fun time and, although Anjana and Matt weren’t feeling the greatest themselves, their great family energy shone through. Anjana and Matt are obviously thrilled to be Kenny’s parents and love him to pieces. Really, how could they not? He is such a sweet little guy.
Thanks Matt and Anjana and Kenny!

I had the distinct pleasure to spend some time with a couple of amazing soccer superstars and their mom last week. We had a great time!

These two guys were so much fun and so full of life. I had a great time chasing them around and playing hide-and-go-seek! They are super great kids and it was obvious the love they have for their mom and she for them. I got pretty excited to think of my own two boys as they get older and how their relationship will develop. It’s going to be a blast! Thanks so much Richell - I hope you enjoyed our time as much as I did!

So I’m kind of addicted to twitter. I love it. One of the reasons I love it is because it sometimes brings me amazing clients. Case in point, Jay. We met at the Art Gallery of Alberta one Friday afternoon and had a great, if warm, time getting some new headshots for Jay’s online life.
He made it pretty easy for me:

It was hot, the sun was streaming in, we had never met, but I think we ended up having a pretty good time and I am pretty happy with the headshots that we got out of the deal. Thanks for taking a chance, Jay! I hope you are happy you did! :)

Super fun times with these guys last week. Lori and Dan and I used to play Ultimate Frisbee together (I know, I know! But I love it. :)) and Lori had asked me to take some photos of them in July. Well, the weather didn’t exactly co-operate in July, so we finally rescheduled the week before last and had a really great time. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and fun was had by all.

Neve and Ira are around Will and Archie’s ages, so it was fun for me to watch them move around and interact with each other. Ira is always on the move and up for a good time! Neve takes it all in and I could tell is ready to jump right in to the fun and games as soon as she gets mobile. Dan and Lori have an amazing and dry sense of humour and made our time together super fun. Thanks you guys, and I hope you like your photos!

So when I’m not on maternity leave, I work for Urban Systems as a planner. We are just in the process of an amazing downtown revitalization in Fort Saskatchewan, and one of my friends at work asked if I might like to spend a couple of hours out there documenting the progress of the project. Portraits are definitely my comfort zone, but I thought it would be fun to try some other subjects. I had lots of fun, and I think the photos turned out great! I’d love to try out some more streetscape stuff, soon. I was thinking about maybe strolling down my local shopping/eating street, 124th Street - should be fun!

We did a quick session this morning to document Archie’s six month milestone (a little late, admittedly).

I know I am completely biased, but I do think these two boys are the cutest. I’m really proud to be able to do them justice and have so much fun while we are taking pictures. I love the way Archie usually has an eye on William. I think it is going to be super fun when they can really play together. It was such a fun way to spend some time on a rainy morning.
